The video game community was met with some very exciting news on Tuesday, August 28th as Xbox announced that the fan favorite Call of Duty title of Modern Warfare 2 or MW2 had finally become backwards compatible for the Xbox One console. Players have been reporting issues with the matchmaking system for the newly minted backwards compatible title of CoD MW2 with Xbox finally announcing on its official support page that it is aware of the issues that players are having with the servers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and are actively working on it, according to a report by Call of Duty news outlet Charlie Intel.
It just continues searching coming back with the same results saying "No Games Found" or will search endlessly finding only 1 or 2 games that it never puts me in. It only does it for certain games modes - such as Hardcore mosh pit, or or hardcore richocet my two favorite games to play. What could be the problem?
Infinity Ward appears to have dumped dedicated servers for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 in favour of its own proprietary matchmaking service. According to IW's Robert Bowling, speaking about 1 hour 40 minutes into the BASH podcast thanks Kotakuthe new service will be called IWNet and is part of the developer's attempts to make the game "very equal on every platform". When asked to confirm that this meant no dedicated servers, Bowling replied, to stunned silence from the PC fans running the podcast, "Correct.
